Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is caused when airflow is completely blocked as you sleep, stopping air from entering the lungs. This often occurs many times during the night causing sleepiness during the day.
People with sleep apnea are at risk of a range of health problems including high blood pressure, and can have an adverse effect on their quality of "awake life."
